Apollo is seeking a Compliance Associate to join its Compliance team, with a focus on trading and markets. This individual will play a key role in supporting the firm’s global compliance program and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies across Apollo’s investment platform.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and oversight of investment compliance controls, including:

  • Restricted lists and control room functions (handling of material non-public information (MNPI)

  • Trade surveillance and monitoring

  • Investment allocation reviews and testing

  • Management of conflicts of interest

  • Oversight of expert network interactions and related practices

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940

  • Serve as go-to person for restricted list technology and related projects, responsible for overall implementation of the technology and associated project timelines, scope, budget, and KPIs

  • Institute best practices in restricted list data management

  • Collaborate with various business units and compliance stakeholders to identify and mitigate compliance risks

  • Contribute to compliance testing, monitoring, and reporting processes

  • Assist with the development and refinement of compliance policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

Apollo seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, energetic and can quickly assess a situation and exercise sound business judgment. More specifically, the successful candidate should have:

  • 4-6+ years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, preferably within asset management, private equity, or financial services

  • Strong understanding of investment compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., the Advisers Act)

  • Strong functional skills using tools like Bloomberg Terminal, Power BI, or Tableau to build clean, easy to digest data visualizations that simplify business analytics

  • Experience working with database technologies, maintaining compliance data management systems, coordinating numerous data sources/applications while managing internal and external parties

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • High attention to detail and sound judgment

  • Ability to work well within a fast-past environment; manage and prioritize competing tasks simultaneously

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required

Pay Range

130,000 - 165,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
