Job Description:

Seeking an experienced, digitally fluent marketing professional to manage a dynamic communications strategy, content adaptation and execution in Japan. This role partners closely with local Events and Private Wealth marketing professionals and compliance teams to help strengthen the Blackstone brand and support regional senior executives and business plans. In addition, the role will align efforts and initiatives with the global investment content, digital and production marketing teams to localize the global strategy.

The Associate or AVP or VP will be hands on in managing all aspects of media relations strategy, content production and channel execution while also leading stakeholder coordination and driving continuous optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Localize global marketing strategy for Japan, ensuring messaging, creative, and channel plans reflect local language, culture, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.

  • Lead end to end content adaptation: translate briefs into localized assets (long and short form), adapt messaging/tone, coordinate translation and transcreation.

  • Support digital execution for the region: regional website/local landing pages, social media campaigns, email programs and analytics tagging/measurement.

  • Work with compliance and legal to ensure all localized materials meet regulatory and disclosure requirements; maintain audit trails and localization documentation.

  • Establish regional content calendars and campaign plans; coordinate timing across markets and channels to maximize reach and relevance.

  • Plan, design and execute the firm’s global communications strategy for Japan: compile media reports, draft briefing notes and communication plans, talking points, and speeches for Blackstone’s senior executives

  • Work with stakeholders across the Public Affairs team and Blackstone business teams on public roll outs around transactions

  • Support senior Public Affairs team to identify and work with media, maintain and help drive firmwide messaging on key topics in Japan, support events and media lunches/dinners as needed

  • Conduct in-depth research for projects across Blackstone business units

  • Research, outline, edit and proofread materials

  • Oversee and manage the LinkedIn program for key executives in Japan, advising on strategy, content creation and manage review process

  • Daily media monitoring on firm and industry news in coordination with broader Public Affairs team

  • Help articulate the region’s approach to measurement and research, aligning with global approach to ensure robust and integrated feedback to internal stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of marketing, communications, or digital experience in the Japanese market, ideally within asset management, financial services, or related professional services environment

  • Demonstrated experience in content localization/adaptation and running multi market digital programs across Japan

  • Strong digital skillset: familiarity with content management systems, email platforms, social platforms, paid digital channels, analytics (Google Analytics or similar), and basic SEO/SEM knowledge

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships (investments, distribution, compliance, creative) and to translate business needs into tangible communication and marketing deliverables

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese

  • Detail-oriented individual who possesses exceptional writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills

  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering multiple, concurrent projects on time and to a high standard, ability to work with global organization managing multiple stakeholders and initiatives simultaneously

  • Comfortable working under pressure and with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, creative, and challenging environment

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, emphasis on Outlook and Excel

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Affairs, or a relevant field
