We are seeking an experienced Transactions Attorney to provide legal transactional support across Blackstone Private Equity Strategies. In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), structured and minority equity investments, and securities offerings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of navigating the intricacies of corporate law in a fast-paced, global environment, providing expert advice and support to our investment teams and portfolio companies.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex legal transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, structured investments, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transactional documents, including bid letters, term sheets and definitive agreements
Advise on transaction-related legal, structuring and regulatory matters (e.g., antitrust, financial regulatory, securities laws compliance).
Liaise with operations, tax, fund and compliance teams on a variety of matters, including signing and closing process, LP and co-investor matters.
Collaborate with portfolio companies to provide guidance on corporate governance, regulatory matters, risk management strategies, and compliance best practices.
Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction execution and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and industry trends, including corporate governance, securities law, and market practice.
Qualifications:
6+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate setting, with a strong focus on private equity and structured and minority equity investments.
Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape affecting private equity funds and portfolio companies.
Good judgment and ability to provide advice to senior stakeholders on complex legal and business issues.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in the state of practice.

Expected annual base salary range:
$150,000 - $250,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
