Position Overview
The Event Planner will oversee the strategy, planning, and flawless execution of Apollo events, ensuring each experience aligns with business goals, reinforces brand standards, and delivers exceptional value to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact internal and external events, conferences, and executive-level initiatives from concept to completion. Responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of budgets, venue sourcing, agenda development, speaker and entertainment coordination, vendor selection and negotiation, and attendee logistics
Drive operational excellence in all aspects of event production and logistics, managing timelines, contracts, deliverables, and on-site execution to ensure flawless delivery
Partner closely with cross-functional teams
Act as project lead across a wide range of event types, managing complex stakeholder groups, facilitating planning sessions
Manage and track multimillion-dollar event budgets with precision, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maintaining exceptional quality standards
Represent Apollo on-site at key events, managing operations in real time and troubleshooting any issues with discretion and poise.
Oversee the conceptualization and production of branded merchandise and promotional materials, from vendor sourcing to final delivery, maintaining brand consistency and cost-effectiveness.
Build strong internal partnerships across Apollo’s broader marketing and communications teams to ensure integrated, consistent messaging and experience.
Interface directly with C-suite teams, portfolio company leaders, limited partners, investors, and government stakeholders—serving as a trusted and professional representative of the firm.
Willingness and availability to travel up to 30%, including internationally, as required to support key events
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, or a related field strongly recommended
Minimum of 5 years of experience in end-to-end event planning, production, and stakeholder management, with a proven track record of leading complex, high-profile corporate events including executive meetings, investor conferences, internal programs, and client-facing experiences.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently, with outstanding organizational and time management skills.
Strong vendor management expertise, including contract negotiation, cost control, and long-term relationship development.
Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—with a strong executive presence and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to operational excellence.
Proven ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in fast-paced, high-stakes environments..
Maturity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential or high-level matters.
Pay Range
$140,000-$165,000Apollo Global Management, Inc. (together with its subsidiaries and affiliates) is committed to championing opportunity.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
