Apollo Global Management is seeking an individual to work as a Data Associate within its Enterprise Data organization. This team provides drives strategic business impact by aligning data initiatives with business priorities. The Enterprise Data organization works closely with Engineering, Operations, Transformation to enable key Apollo businesses on the adoption of data products and business intelligence tools. We partner cross-functionally to enable the firm to successfully execute on key strategic initiatives, to problem solve for complex objectives, and to provide central expertise around data strategy, governance, quality and operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Proactively monitor and troubleshoot data quality failures, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), utilizing real-time data observability tools and automated anomaly detection platforms in line with next generation data governance practices.
Perform detailed root cause analysis to identify data discrepancies, collaborating with technology and business teams to implement permanent solutions. Leverage data lineage tracing, advanced metadata management, and distributed tracing capabilities foundational to NextGen governance.
Identify recurring data issues and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve data health. Apply modern data profiling, automated quality scoring pipelines, and centralized observability stacks to support continuous improvement.
Partner closely with business units, technology teams, data owners, and data stewards on both tactical and strategic solutions to enhance Apollo’s data ecosystem. Foster cross-functional stewardship and embed governance-by-design principles throughout business processes.
Drive regular communications with business partners and leadership, championing data governance best practices and advocating for adoption of cloud-native, scalable, and API-driven data management approaches.
Maintain and continuously enhance documentation for data processes, workflows, and training materials to support user education and self-service, ensuring inclusion of guidance on emerging governance tools, real-time monitoring, data lineage, and evolving regulatory requirements.
Analyze platform adoption and usage metrics to recommend enhancements that drive higher engagement, efficiency, and satisfaction. Utilize feedback loops and integrated analytics, supporting ongoing evolution of governance models.
Participate in governance committees and operational reviews, supporting escalation procedures and policy setting for advanced data stewardship, operational excellence, and compliance.
Collaborate on automation initiatives for data quality monitoring, policy enforcement, and workflow orchestration, ensuring alignment with industry best practices for NextGen data governance.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline; advanced degrees or certifications in modern data management (e.g., CDMP, DAMA, or equivalent) are highly valued.
4+ years of professional experience in financial services, consulting, or technology firms in a data management, customer-facing, or business support role, with direct exposure to next generation data governance practices and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven experience leveraging automated data quality monitoring, data lineage tracking, and distributed data observability platforms to identify and triage complex data issues quickly.
Deep understanding of data processes, technology, and control frameworks across investment management and financial services operations, including practical expertise in metadata management, real-time compliance, Zero Trust architectures, and hybrid cloud environments.
Financial Services / Asset Management experience strongly preferred, with specific experience working on software development and implementation projects related to data governance, analytics, automation, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Familiarity with key investment management data inputs, such as security master data, position and transaction data, risk reporting, and investment accounting, with practical experience integrating governance policies directly into these workflows.
Demonstrated communication and influencing skills to collaborate across teams, drive solutions, and promote a culture of proactive data stewardship and governance accountability.
Knowledge of financial instruments including fixed income, alternative investments, equities, and derivatives, with understanding of associated data governance, control, and compliance requirements in both private and public markets.
Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Pyramid is a plus; working knowledge of cloud-native data management platforms, metadata catalogs, and scalable API integration frameworks is highly valued.
Familiarity with Collibra, Snowflake, and GenAI tools and models

Pay Range
$110,000 - $140,000Apollo Global Management, Inc. (together with its subsidiaries and affiliates) is committed to championing opportunity.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
