The People Analytics team is focused on providing the tools and data needed to help our partners in HR and Blackstone’s businesses make faster, more sustainable, more strategic, and more cost-effective decisions. This role will report directly to and work in partnership with the Senior Vice President of Data Management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and impactful data solutions, including with the Reporting and Data Science teams.
Responsibilities:
Data Modeling & Management
Design, develop, and maintain scalable SQL data models to support HR analytics and reporting needs.
Create and optimize stored procedures for efficient data processing and retrieval.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with HR data governance standards.
ETL Development & Data Integration
Build and maintain ETL pipelines using tools (Fivetran, DBT) to automate data ingestion and transformation processes.
Collaborate with HR systems (Workday, Anaplan, 360) and IT teams to integrate data from multiple sources.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure high availability and performance.
Version Control & Collaboration
Utilize GitLab and GitHub for version control, collaboration, and deployment of data solutions.
Work within VS Code to develop and maintain clean, reusable, and efficient code.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Partner with HR stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
Deliver actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
Support workforce analytics and metrics, as well as other HR KPIs.
Best Practices & Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data management and analytics.
Advocate for and implement best practices in data engineering, testing, and documentation.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, or a related field.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, including data modeling, stored procedures, and query optimization.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Fivetran, DBT) and data pipeline development.
Strong knowledge of GitLab, GitHub, and version control workflows.
Proficiency in data processing, automation, and analytics (Python experience preferred).
Familiarity with VS Code or similar development environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Effectively manages multiple priorities and delivers high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Analytical mindset with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
Proven experience in ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity through rigorous validation techniques and quality assurance.
Passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Sigma Computing).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions.
Understanding of HR metrics, compliance, and data privacy regulations.
Experience working with HR data and systems (e.g., Workday, Anaplan).
Some coding experience using Python.

Expected annual base salary range:
$125,000 - $180,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
