Job Description Summary
The VP, Commercial Operations, is a key contributor to the Global Private Wealth team, responsible for GPW’s distribution strategy. This role will work closely with the Head of Global Private Wealth, Wealth COO, and other senior leaders to develop and implement global distribution strategies that will enhance performance and scalability. You will develop fundraising strategies that support growth in the various Wealth distribution channels, leveraging business intelligence tools to develop targeted fundraising initiatives, building dashboards providing real time performance and governance reporting. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial operations leader with a strong background in private markets, and a proven track record of partnering with marketing and sales to drive fundraising performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning:
- Assistance in the annual business planning to establish sales goals and revenue targets, develop revenue forecast models to support the annual operating plan
- Partnership with Heads of Marketing and Heads of Sales to develop KPI’s measuring performance results across sales teams, regions, and channels
- Lead the design and implementation of sales and marketing dashboards that provide performance results, including key drivers, of fundraising strategies; work in partnership with the Head of Institutional Commercial Operations to provide fundraising performance results on a quarterly basis to HV CEO and HV Board
- Provide functional and technical expertise related to Wealth’s go-to-market strategy driving productivity growth year on year
- Lead initiatives for client segmentation models in partnership with the Heads of Marketing and Heads of Sales to quantify the addressable market, and identify target accounts in support of the go-to-market strategy
Marketing and Sales Operational Support:
- Partner with the Head of Wealth Marketing to incorporate practices including competitive intelligence, target audience definition, and market positioning into the development of product marketing material
- Partner with the Heads of Sales to help analyze, monitor, and provide feedback real time on fundraise performance for the global Wealth salesforce; provide quarterly KPI reports to Heads of Sales, COO, and Head of HR to track sales performance against sales targets; help prepare year-end performance KPI reports for Head of HR as part of year-end performance reviews
- Contribute to a positive, high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 10-12+ years of progressive experience in asset management sales and distribution with a focus on private markets
- Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial approach
- Strong industry knowledge including strong understanding of market trends; ability to identify new opportunities for growth
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, operational analytics, and business intelligence tools
Salary Range
$1.00 - $10,000,000.00
This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
