This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 2-3 days minimum per week in the office.

The ideal candidate is someone who has:

  • Strong Operational Knowledge: A deep understanding of end-to-end operational processes, particularly those involving third-party administrators (TPAs), with the ability to assess and handle cross-functional operational trade-offs.
  • Relationship Management Skills: Demonstrated capability in leading and cultivating strong working relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with SLAs and critical metrics, and addressing any performance concerns.
  • Problem-Solving and Blocking Issue Management: Skilled in resolving complex operational issues, bringing up when necessary, and taking proactive steps to prevent future challenges.
  • Monitoring Performance and Accountability: Experience in tracking and evaluating operational performance to ensure that internal teams and TPAs meet or exceed established benchmarks

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with Operations and Product teams to establish, monitor, and track SLAs and relevant important metrics for assessing performance against set targets.
  • Lead change requests with third-party administrators and assist with implementation across internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless operations and alignment.
  • Consolidate business demand to scale service providers offering and build operating leverage for internal teams.
  • Support and contribute to end-to-end quality management efforts that align with broader business objectives, ensuring cross-functional alignment on performance goals.
  • Assist with the identification and design of new and continuing operational needs to promote efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and third-party administrators to address advanced issues, ensure accurate information, and maintain timely delivery of fund-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to establish standard processes for TPA oversight, promoting global consistency.
  • Support other tasks and projects as required, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.

What you bring:

  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Fund Operations: Proven expertise in understanding and managing operational functions outsourced to third-party administrators (TPAs).
  • Extensive experience in managing relationships with third-party entities, including monitoring performance, tracking important metrics such as SLAs, and promoting ongoing process enhancements.
  • Outstanding Organization Abilities: Extremely diligent, structured, and meticulous, guaranteeing efficient handling of various tasks.
  • Positive Relationship Building: Skilled in encouraging and maintaining positive, productive relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Outstanding Communication Abilities: Skilled in both written and verbal communication, capable of effectively interacting with customers throughout the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Influence and Leadership: Proven ability to influence and collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Strategic and Operational Expertise: A strategic attitude paired with hands-on operational experience, with a focus on improving processes and outcomes.
  • Standard Methodologies and Resource Usage: Proactively identifies and applies standard methodologies, using available resources to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance or accounting; MBA or CPA a plus but equivalent experience is acceptable.

Experience:

5-8 Years experience in a client or investment operations role preferred (Senior Associate level).
