Global Finance Function

The Finance team at Blackstone comprises of Finance, Internal Audit, Treasury, and Tax functions.

International Finance manages the financial, regulatory and tax reporting requirements of all Blackstone Group entities based outside the US. International Finance has teams in Brazil, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Mumbai, Singapore and Tokyo. Our vision is to be:

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Fund Accounting and Reporting (China focused)

  • Review of accounting records, financial statements and various related fund reporting from fund administrator

  • Preparation and review monthly/quarterly investor statements and letters

  • Review of related documentation/fund transfers on capital activities and other day to day activities

  • Review NAV calculations performed by external fund administrator

  • Review and preparation of local regulatory reporting (e.g. AMAC and SFO)

  • Liaise with fund administrator and BX stakeholders on fund related matters

  • Perform ad-hoc/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for senior management

Fund Operations

  • Point of contact for onshore & offshore stakeholders

  • Monitor cashflow movement (e.g. subscription, redemption, distribution)

  • Monitor the fund account balances, cash transfer and QDLP quota usage

  • Coordination of capital activities and related reporting for NY

  • Ongoing compliance monitoring/reporting

  • Shared entities management

Fund Reporting

  • Liaise with external service provider and BX stakeholders on fund related matters

  • Perform ad-hoc/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for senior management

  • Participate in technology and process improvement initiatives

  • Other ad hoc tasks/projects

  • Able to build and maintain relationships and navigate diverse stakeholders

  • Works closely with other offices in New York, Hong Kong, and other Asia offices

Corporate Reporting

  • Assist with the Firm’s periodical closing and reporting procedures, while responding to ad-hoc inquiries from management or other business teams

  • Responsible for preparing any Financial, Tax or Regulatory reports & surveys, and internal forecasts and analysis. Main coverage is Australia

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.

Required Skills:

  • Candidate must be a B.A., B.Com./ Graduate, Postgraduate or C.A., with knowledge of accounting and finance

  • Fluent in English and Business Chinese, strong written skill in Business Chinese is highly preferred

  • 8+ years of accounting/financial analysis experience

  • Experience in a Big 4 firm will be an advantage

  • Knowledge of asset management/fund management industry, including market fundamentals will be an advantage

  • Working experience in China QDLP / PFM operations would be an advantage

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated with a passion for making business processes more efficient and successful

  • Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills necessary

  • Drive and desire to learn new technologies and grow technical and functional skill sets
