Job Description:

Blackstone is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to join its new ICS Fund Onboarding team. Sitting at the center of the firm’s institutional fundraising efforts, this team will orchestrate the end-to-end onboarding experience for global institutional investors across flagship and bespoke Blackstone strategies and operate across time zones and geographies.

The team will manage the end-to-end onboarding process for institutional investors in our funds. You will review subscription documents, work directly with investors and their advisors to complete them, and coordinate formal reviews with AML and tax teams. You will also work closely with Finance/Operations across groups, Legal & Compliance (L&C), Institutional Client Solutions (ICS), and external counsel.

This is a unique opportunity to help rethink how institutional onboarding is delivered at scale. This role is also a chance to improve how we work and to partner with technology providers to make onboarding faster and simpler.

Responsibilities

Own the onboarding process from investor commitment through close, across multiple funds, jurisdictions, and time zones.

  • Lead and oversee the ICS onboarding team.
  • Review subscription agreements and related documents, identify gaps, coordinate investor edits and signatures, and work directly with investors and their advisors to completion.
  • Route, coordinate, and track AML/KYC and tax reviews to sign-off; ensure all regulatory checks are completed.
  • Apply internal policies during onboarding.
  • Coordinate internally with Finance/Operations across groups, Legal & Compliance, Tax, and Institutional Client Solutions, and externally with counsel and advisors to resolve questions and keep timelines on track.
  • Maintain accurate investor data and records; perform reconciliations and exception tracking.
  • Track milestones to close, provide clear status updates to stakeholders, and escalate issues promptly.
  • Support routine audits.
  • Identify bottlenecks and risks early, raise issues to the right teams, and drive them to resolution.
  • Improve processes, define simple metrics and service levels, and pilot tools such as e-signature, digital forms, and workflow trackers to reduce errors and cycle time.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of financial industry and operational experience with a strong understanding of alternatives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effectively performs at a high-level within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with a focus on excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Develops strong working relationships with colleagues, teams, and clients globally.
  • Collaborative and proactive with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Identifies & summarizes issues & recommendations.
  • Works efficiently, often under competing deadlines.
  • Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Works well independently as well as in a team‐oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Expected annual base salary range:

$225,000 - $250,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
