Job Title: Global Mobility Specialist, AVP

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Mobility Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our mobility employees, ensuring a seamless relocation experience while aligning with our business objectives. You will work with the Global Head of Mobility closely and with other various stakeholders, including HR, Tax, Global Equity, Finance, Comp and our external tax and relocation advisors to enhance our global mobility strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the central point of contact for all management and junior level international relocations and assignments, working in collaboration with Business Partners and Global Operations functions to enhance and provide best-in-class experience for employees.
  • Coordinate with payroll, comp, equity, ops and other relevant functions to ensure key considerations and employee experience are managed, with downstream compliance activities being operational.
  • Seek continuous development and improvement to policies and processes, actively operating with personal networks and providers to achieve best in practice and market aligned policies, process and governance.
  • Advise business leadership and HR teams on best practices for international assignments, relocations, and cross-border employment.
  • Provide assistance with implementation of assignment management technology to enhance the mobility program and user experience, creating efficiencies and ongoing management of system.
  • Coordinate with payroll, comp, equity, ops and other relevant functions to ensure key considerations and employee experience are managed, with downstream compliance activities being operational.
  • Manage vendor global mobility programs and compliance seasons, including authorization lists, compliance documentation, compensation accumulation, adherence to global deadlines and responding to ad-hoc queries.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and company policies related to global mobility.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, such as relocation service providers, tax advisors, local counsel and immigration attorneys, to ensure a high-quality service delivery.
  • Responsibility for advisory work including shadow payrolls, policy design and implementation and short-term business visitor projects.
  • Collaborate with portfolio companies to provide mobility guidance for their employees or Blackstone secondees.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in global mobility, expatriate management and related HR functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and mobility management software is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in accounting, tax or a related field.
