Global Corporate Services
The Global Corporate Services (GCS) team at Blackstone services all global offices and lines of businesses across the firm. The GCS team is delineated by its Corporate Real Estate & Strategy (CRES), Administrative Services (AS), and Travel & Expense (T&E) departments which deliver services associated with Corporate Real Estate, Workplace Services, Facilities, Design & Construction, Office Services, Conference, Reception Services, Meeting Room & Internal Events Management, Catering, Dining & Pantry Services, and Travel Expense, and Records Management. We are seeking a full-time employee to join our Reception Team based in the New York City Office.
Position Overview:
Blackstone is seeking an experienced client services professional that will report to the New York Head of Reception Services. This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating Executive Reception and lobby daily operations, focusing on ensuring excellent customer service and team adherence to all standard operating procedures. Key duties include team guidance and supervision, handling guest or employee inquiries and complaints, maintaining front desk & executive floors procedures and security, and coordinating with management and other desks to provide a seamless experience. This role requires a high level of professionalism, customer service skills, and adaptability. This function serves as the initial point of contact for employee inquiries, issues, troubleshooting, compliments and feedback related to the services within the office, with the goal of efficient and positive service. The candidate is responsible for delivering exceptional employee experience through engagement, proactive communication, and high touch services.
This is a full time, onsite position Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Reception Services handles daily visitor registration responsibilities through a guest registration system.
Greeting and welcoming guests as they arrive to the office, checking them in through the guest registration system and directing guests to the appropriate person, floor, or office.
Onsite coordination, scheduling, and overall quality control of all meeting guests on the executive floor.
Supervising the intake of VIP guests to ensure the highest level of service is provided.
Partner with the firm’s service providers to ensure catering, event set up, service, and quality expectations are met.
Assist with conference/meeting room & officewide walkthroughs to ensure spaces are presentable and up to Blackstone’s standards.
Place maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness tickets as needed and work with facilities team to complete.
Be one of the expert users for the firm’s conference room booking platform (EMS) in order to provide support to internal clients and to ensure the integrity and accuracy of information.
Responsible for maintaining and fostering positive internal and external relationships, with clients, administrative personnel, and service providers specific to executive client floors.
Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures for Lobby & Executive Reception.
Partner with GCS CRES and T&E team to deliver holistic office-based experiences.
Promptly notify administrative staff or receptionists of guest arrivals, answer/direct internal incoming calls, and respond to general inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
Coordinate with security, facilities, and administrative teams to support daily operations.
Receptionists serve as floor administrators for the conference room booking system to assist with meeting logistics and to help troubleshoot any systems trouble.
Assume the role as an “expert in residence” in space optimization, keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies and opportunities to enhance the space.
Report, track and monitor internal meeting/event/visitor activity, demand and data points, regular analysis and propose process improvements, e.g., tech systems EMS, Envoy.
Qualifications / Skills:
5+ years of related experience in customer service role in a professional corporate environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills; connects easily with others and handles difficult interactions with discretion and diplomacy.
Motivated, responsible self-starter who operates with a sense of urgency and is results-oriented; takes initiative, has strong leadership skills, and works well within a group or alone.

Expected annual base salary range:
$70,000 - $85,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
