HarbourVest is seeking a self-motivated Client Service Analyst to join our Client Experience team. This role will work with teams across the firm to complete daily inquiries from different clients across funds and account types. HarbourVest’s clients are primarily institutions including public and private pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and health service organizations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop a strong understanding of all aspects of the client journey within private markets asset management including onboarding, capital calls, distributions, reporting, and portfolio reviews. The position also includes working closely with teams across the firm including investment, solutions, accounting, treasury, tax, legal, compliance, and marketing.

This position will be a hybrid work arrangement.

What you will do:

  • Build and maintain strong external and internal relationships by listening, understanding, and appropriately responding to clients’ needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver on client requirements and ensure excellent client experience
  • Work as an adaptable teammate who proactively assists with workload rebalancing and high-priority items, collaborating with colleagues in other regions
  • Provide administrative support to Client Service Team related to team meetings, training, projects and ad hoc items
  • Manage flow of incoming client requests and appropriately assign to the team
  • Participate in projects impacting the team and firm

Education Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong academic credentials

Experience:

  • 1+ years of Client Service or Operations experience
  • Investment management, financial services, or private equity experience preferred
