The Financial Reporting Associate Director will be responsible for supporting the broader Financial Reporting team with various accounting, reporting and analytic deliverables with monthly and quarterly cadence. The role provides hybrid financial reporting opportunities to build expertise in consolidations, strategic transaction execution, SEC Reporting, senior management analytics and close management. The candidate will be involved in the Firm’s transformational journey and have an opportunity to collaborate with various teams including Global Legal Entity Controllers, Fund Controllers, External Reporting, Technology, Valuations, Treasury, SOX, External Auditors and various other stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage elements of the Firm consolidation process including the review of intercompany eliminations
Coordinate preparation of Management Reporting Analytics for NON-GAAP and GAAP Reporting
Prepare and review deliverables required to support SEC Filings Form 10-Q and Form 10-K
Prepare and review quarterly balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses
Prepare and review journal entries for monthly and quarterly close processes
Operationalize new strategic transactions collaboratively with Firm stakeholders incl. LEC’s / Accounting Policy
Support GL maintenance including setup / changes involving new accounts, department and legal entities
Management of standalone and consolidated NON-GAAP and GAAP Close functions
Maintain a strong SOX controls environment and ensure proper documentation of SOX control processes
Liaise between various global groups including Legal Entity Controllers, Fund Controllers, External Reporting, Treasury, Accounting Policy, SOX, Technology and External Auditors to ensure the preparation of accurate and timely accounting information and analyses with a focus on maintaining data integrity on all deliverables
Qualifications & Experience
7+ years of experience
U.S. GAAP technical accounting expertise and consolidation experience preferred
Financial and SEC reporting experience is a plus
CPA or equivalent and combination of Big 4 and industry experience preferred
Exposure to corporate re-organizations, mergers and strategic transactions a plus
Experience with OneStream or other corporate performance management system a plus (e.g. Essbase / Hyperion and PeopleSoft)
Exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills and work well in a team environment
Extensive knowledge in utilizing advanced Excel solutions required
Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
Demonstrated ability in taking initiative and being a resourceful, independent self-starter
Candidate must have leadership ability and possess an analytical, logical thought process for developing solutions

Pay Range
$140,000 – $205,000Apollo Global Management, Inc. (together with its subsidiaries and affiliates) is committed to championing opportunity.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
