Position Summary

As a Valuation Co-op, you will spend 6 months working with our NY-based team to assist with preparing our 200+ portfolio companies’ valuations at quarter end.

Responsibilities 

  • Work alongside GA Valuation members during quarterly valuation process
  • Work with our Portfolio Monitoring team to produce reporting for the firm’s senior leadership
  • Participate in discussions with our Senior Investment Professionals
  • Learn to build financial valuation models in MS Excel
  • Help research and answer analytical questions
  • Run qualitative checks on portfolio company valuations
  • Assist with various ad hoc projects

Qualifications 

  • Eligible to participate to Northeastern University’s undergraduate Co-op program
  • Strong record of academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 3.5 overall and in major (on a 4.0 scale), strongly preferred
  • Academic concentration in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of achievement in academic, leadership, and other settings
  • Creative and able to solve problems
  • Proactive, positive, and professional work ethic
  • Sharp attention to detail and the ability to deliver work product of high quality and accuracy
  • Are fundamentally an intellectually curious, resourceful, and team-driven person
