Job Description:

SimpleCREDIT is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Director of Real Estate Private Credit Origination to lead and expand our private credit platform. In this high-impact role, you will originate, structure, and execute senior secured, mezzanine, and bridge loans across multifamily, mixed-use, industrial, and non-owner-occupied residential properties.

You’ll manage sponsor and intermediary relationships, align debt investments with the firm’s risk-return profile, and collaborate with our investment, legal, and capital markets teams throughout the loan lifecycle—from sourcing to close.

Key Responsibilities:

Origination & Deal Sourcing

• Source real estate credit opportunities through a network of sponsors, developers, brokers, and lenders
• Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality loan opportunities aligned with SimpleCREDIT’s investment strategy
• Represent the platform externally to expand brand recognition and sourcing reach

Underwriting & Investment Structuring

• Lead underwriting, financial modeling, and credit risk analysis for new transactions
• Structure credit solutions based on asset class, collateral value, sponsor strength, and business plan
• Prepare and present detailed investment memoranda to the investment committee

Execution & Closing

• Negotiate term sheets, loan documents, and intercreditor agreements
• Manage transaction execution alongside legal counsel, internal teams, and third-party providers
• Oversee post-close transition to asset management

Market Coverage & Platform Strategy

• Monitor trends across credit markets, real estate fundamentals, and interest rate environments
• Identify emerging borrower needs and opportunities to enhance product offerings
• Contribute to platform growth through strategic insight and process development

• Minimum 7 years of experience originating private credit investments across commercial and/or residential real estate
• Strong network of sponsors, brokers, and financial intermediaries
• Proven ability to source, structure, and close real estate credit transactions
• Expertise in credit underwriting, valuation, and deal structuring
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to operate independently within a lean, entrepreneurial environment
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFA, or JD preferred
