Marlins Insurance, a Bay Road partner agency, is seeking a Sales Agent Team Lead to help lead the personal lines team at their Plantation, Florida office. This individual will act as a player/coach, responsible for new business production and coaching & mentoring a small team of hungry agents.
Core Responsibilities
Sales Production:
- Maintain a strong personal sales pipeline and actively produce in both the personal auto and property markets
- Proactively generate new business through diverse channels, expertly assessing client needs and presenting tailored insurance solutions.
- Ensure a seamless and exceptional client experience from initial contact through policy binding and ongoing service.
Team Leadership & Producer Development:
- Lead a high-performing sales team through regular coaching, 1-1s, and performance management
- Act as a go-to resource by providing guidance and advice on complex client scenarios, underwriting challenges, etc.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to develop and implement sales process improvements, leveraging technology as needed.
Qualifications
- Hold an active 2-20 or 2-44 Florida property & casualty insurance license
- Experience writing Florida homeowners and auto insurance policies, including familiarity with Citizens
- Strong experience with non-standard auto carriers is a plus
- Prior experience coaching, mentoring, or leading a team of insurance agents is a plus
- History of consistently meeting sales production targets in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, to effectively serve our diverse client base
- This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission
